Great drinks, unique retro vibe. Just be prepared for unique cocktail pricing with a Vegas up charge.
Absolutely loved this spot in DTLV. It is a "hidden" entrance door which i really like and it takes you down this rabbit hole type of ambience- I loved how dark yet artsy and vintage the theme is inside. We ordered multiple cocktails off their menu and let me tell you!! Just phenomenal. Nothing disappointed- It's the art of making such a unique cocktail but also how well they masque the flavor of the alcohol, every drink has its own theme going on with different characteristics that makes each one of them stand out. It makes you enjoy your drink so much more! such a great experience. The bartenders that took care of us were exceptional with their recommendations and took amazing care of us and our requests. would DEFINITELY recommend!
Exquisite venue and artisanal drinks. They ingredients they use are so fresh and unique. I'm amazed when I came here and you can't go wrong. The amazing original film printed Photo Booth. I live a good dark bar and then thrown in a gothic ambiance any vampire would love!!!! We were lucky to try some of the Halloween themed drinks. They left a long lasting impression on us for sure and we will visit more often.
My classmates and I visited the velveteen rabbit for the first time! We tried several of the cocktails, which came out very quickly, and the service was great! The inside had a good amount of seating, but if you needed more, there is a patio in the very back which was very cute! There were a lot of drinks to choose from, including the classics, like old fashions. We also got a pitcher of a peach cocktail which came with multiple small glasses and ice spheres which was perfect for sharing. My personal favorite was the hibiscus Paloma, which was made with Mezcal for that perfect smoky taste. The patio in the back also had a vintage photo booth that cost $7 if anyone is interested in taking some cute photos!
I'd give 5 stars for the setting and service alone. Such a great vibe, with dim lighting and inviting decor and furnishings. Even the outdoor seating area looked really cute. And staff provided quick and friendly service the entire time we were there. But the drinks we had were a little less appealing. We tried the pickin' peaches, drops of jupiter, and punch (tropical cocktail special). The flavor combinations were a bit off for both of us, not bad, but I'd probably opt to try something different if I were to return.
I cannot believe I haven't reviewed this yet! Absolutely one of my favorite cocktail bars. I've never had a bad cocktail here, and I have had so many that to list them all would take multiple pages. I'll narrow it down to the most recent trip. The current rotation has to do with taking a "Road trip", so there are numerous cocktails from different parts of the US. I got "The Cal" ($16) consisting of toasted coconut-infused rum + hibiscus apéritif + calpico + coconut water + lime + ube-pandan foam. It was the perfect drink for a hot day, light and refreshing, and pretty! I can't wait to go back and try a different State.
We love coming here with our friends! The drinks are tasty and you can actually hear each other LOL Definitely recommend you stopping by. Seating is sometimes limited but you're usually able to get seated without waiting too long. The bar is dark, low lights, very chill vibes.
We've wanted to visit VR for a while and it did not disappoint! We came in on a First Friday right at open. Dark, moody and great music, make it a perfect spot for a drink. First rounds we started with the Road trippin Flora-Bama Bushwaker which was sweet with a meringue topping but well balanced and tasty! I ordered a Tacos Huicho with a chip salt rim! OMG best ever! Who knew this would be so goood? We also ordered a punch of the day which was strawberry and yummy! Round two my fiancé ordered a Cal which was very slushy like and interesting. I had another Tacos because YUM! Server was a local, dry but welcoming and speedy. Bartender was new to the area but nailed the drinks. I really want to try the U Pick Peaches so we'll be back!
I loved velveteen rabbit! I would definitely say this was my favorite bar/speakeasy in Vegas. I got the lavender of lost mountain cocktail and I was very pleased with it. My partner got the drops of Jupiter and she enjoyed it as well. The service was fast helpful and friendly. I adored the ambiance inside. I will be back the next time I'm in Vegas :)
Velveteen Rabbit is a great place to have a cocktail or two in a cool, dark, relaxing place on Main Street in the Arts District. They had a regional drink list and I had (and enjoyed) the Keep Old Fashioned Weird, an homage to the Austin, TX bbq scene with a lightly smoky, yet smooth cocktail. It was complete with a slice of bacon and a small bite of brisket. Our server was great-with attention and recommendations while making sure we all enjoyed ourselves.
